Orion & Lessie
December 13, 2025
Saturday had that classic Mississippi curveball weather: rain in the morning, sunshine, and humidity by the time we were ready to take photos. Orion and Lessie kept things simple and intentional, choosing a tiny church that feels straight out of a classic southern postcard. No big production, no complicated timeline—just a relaxed day surrounded by the people who’ve been in their corner from the start.
When I arrived, the rain was finally starting to lighten up, giving me the perfect chance to capture the location in all its glistening, rain‑soaked charm. The steady drizzle had wrapped the whole place in this unexpected coziness. I walked in just in time to catch those candid, in‑between moments as Lessie and her bridesmaids finished getting ready. You could already tell it was going to be a beautiful day.
With the bride and groom nearly ready, the energy in the church shifted. You could feel the excitement building. By the time the ceremony began, the sun had fully broken through, filling the room with warm, golden light—the kind of cinematic glow photographers wish they could bottle and use on every wedding day.
After a picture‑perfect ceremony, everyone made their way to the tent for some much‑needed food and a chance to unwind together. And with a bright sparkler send‑off lighting up the night, the celebration came to a close.
Days like this remind me why I love what I do. Not because everything goes perfectly, but because even with the rain, the humidity, and the unpredictability, Orion and Lessie’s wedding was full of genuine moments—real laughter, real connection, real joy. It was a simple day, beautifully lived, and an honor to capture from start to finish.
